Diaper Card and more!

Hello friends! Today I wanted to share this adorable diaper card my daughter Jenni made. Isn't it so cute?! She used the Artiste Cartridge and cut the card on page 64 at 4.25 inches. Then ran it through the cuttlebug to add the dots. The pins were cut at 1 inch out of CTMH's new glitter paper. She topped it off with a blue bow, oh so sweet!

And of course I had to share the super cute gift she made for her friends baby shower (see below). She found directions online for this Motorcycle Diaper Cake and it turned out so stinkin cute!!! There is a fabulous tutorial here: sweet aprils Her friend loved it. I want to make one for my new grandbaby that is due in July but we don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet. We find out on Friday. She is hoping for a girl (me too!) Keep your fingers crossed for us. You will be seeing more fun baby stuff once we know (=

H2H Challenge: Clean and Simple

Today is my final challenge as the guest designer over at the H2H Challenge blog. The theme this week is the hardest one for me yet: Clean and Simple!

I tend to want to add lots of bling and embellishments to my projects so it was hard to hold back and go for a more simple look. Here is what I came up with...an Easter egg!

I used the awesome Art Philosophy cartridge to make this, of course! You can find this fun card shape on page 57 of the handbook. I cut the card and the base pieces at 5 1/2".

I used my Cuttlebug to dry emboss the top and bottom parts of the egg shape.

To keep the embellishments clean and simple, I only added some strips of Washi Tape and Silver Shimmer Trim. I used Cotton Candy ink to stamp a sentiment from the adorable Easter Wishes stamp set. I love this set, it's so cute and only $9.95!
As a final touch, I added one small clear acrylic flower from the Claire Assortment. I put a small dab of Silver Glitz Glitter Gell to the center of the flower.

I added this embellished piece to the card front with 3-D Foam Tape.

And that's all there is to it! It really is simple :)

I hope you'll join the H2H Challenge: Clean and Simple along with me and all the design team this week. I can't wait to see what you come up with!  I hope this style is easier for you than it was for me :)

H2H Challenge: Tag, You're It!

Hello! This is my third challenge this month as the guest designer at the H2H Challenge Blog, and it's a fun one called: Tag, You're It! I decided to make a trio of spring time tags that I can use on gifts or even put it on a card.

I used the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the tag and decorative layer from page 50 at 4" out of the beautiful new Chantilly papers. I also cut the flourish from page 50 at 1", and from page 51 I cut the bird and wing out at 1 3/4".

The bird and tag were cut out of Buttercup Cardstock which comes with the Chantilly Paper Packet.  I then used the Universal Backgrounds stamp to add the woodgrain image on the tag and the written words image on the bird with Buttercup ink for a tone on tone look that adds some extra dimension.

I then inked the tag layer with Cotton Candy ink, and added my two favorite accessories: Shimmer Trim and Zipper Lace!  I used 3-D Foam Tape to adhere the layer to the tag.

I then added the flourish to this layered piece.

For the bird, I added a Bitty Sparkle for the eye, and added the wing with 3-D Foam Tape.

I added the bird on top of the flourish with 3-D Foam Tape, and adhered a Trinkets Wooden butterfly shape to the top. Below the bird I added a clear acrylix flower and put some green glitz glitter gel in the center.

The final touch was to add a strip of the green Chantilly Textiles to the top of the tag.

I hope you're inspired to play along with this week's H2H Challenge....Tag, You're It!

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's day and I have a final project to share that can also be used for other occasions.  This is a 3-D Heart bag made with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge!
You can find this cute bag on page 26 using the Font Layer feature. It is cut out at 6" from cardstock, and stamped with one of the Cricut Art Philosophy stamp sets. The tag (Shape 1) is from the same page and cut at 1 1/2" and 1 1/4".

I embellished the bag with some pink ribbons and buttons.

I LOVE that CTMH had such a fabulous product at such a great price-Artiste cartridge, 3 coordinating stamp sets and 3 coordinating chipboard packs for only $99! Just had to share (=

Stamps: Close to my Heart Whooo’s Your Valentine set

H2H Challenge: Love Is in the Air

I am excited to be the February guest designer over at the H2H Challenge blog, and today I'm sharing my project for this week's challenge: Love Is in the Air. Since Valentine's Day is just a few days away, this was a great time to make a card for my wonderful hubby!
I've been obsessed over the adorable new Mini Clothes Pins from CTMH and couldn't wait to find a way to use them in a project!

I'm also trying out the trendy 'Polaroid' style that I've seen all over Pinterest.  I put a scrap piece of White Daisy Cardstock into my Cricut and cut a 3 1/4" square from Artiste, page 48.

Then I trimmed around the negative space to make the Polaroid shape. So easy!

Next, I cut the heart shapes from Artiste, page 71, at 1 1/4" and 1".

Here are all the pieces I used to put the card together.

I covered the heart layer with some Chantilly Textile by adhering it to the backside of the fabric and then cutting around it with my super sharp CTMH Micro-Tip Scissors.

I added some Pink Sparkles, and then layered it onto the base piece.

Next, I used my CTMH Piercing Tool  to poke holes in the Polaroid shape for my Red Brads (on sale now for only $1.50!) and strung my Baker's Twine to hang across the opening, and stamped my sentiment on the bottom. I then adhered 3-D Foam Tape around the back of this piece.

Once I layered all the pieces together, I just had to clip my little fabric heart to the twine with the clothes pin and it's done!

I hope you'll play along with the H2H Challenge this week!

Happy Crafting!
