Happy Birthday Card

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for my daughter's 18th birthday. I used CTMH For Always paper. I love the bold black and white patterns that go so well with whatever splash of color you want to add. I used Lagoon ink to alter one of the pattern papers by sponging ink to change the background color. (see below) Isn't that cool?!!! Think of the possibilities.
The flowers are from Art Philosophy page 21, sizes are 2.5", 2" and 1.5. I can't believe my baby girl is 18-sniff sniff. Have a beautiful day!

FCCB Challenge #157: 3-D Project

Hello!  Rachel here with my submission for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog #157: 3-D Project.

If you have followed this blog for a while, you know that the exclusive CTMH Artiste cartridge is absolutely filled with tons of amazing 3-D items to cut on the Cricut. I chose to make this adorable purse and use it for a gift card holder for my mom for Mother's Day!

This cute little purse is just one of many on the Artiste cartridge, and can be found on page 41 of the handbook. It even has a coordinating pocket for the outside of the purse!
The label that I cut out for the sentiment can be found on page 33.
Here is all I needed to cut out, it's so easy with the Artiste cartridge!
After cutting out my pieces, I was able to easily assemble the purse by following the assembly instructions found in the booklet on page 13.
I added a pretty Bling Button to the top of the closure flap, and a Velcro Dot underneath to keep it closed.

Here is the fun stamp set called Perfect Fit - Mom, that I used to decorate the front. It coordinates perfectly with the Artiste shapes, and even tells you where to find it and what size to cut it out!

You can purchase this amazing cartridge right here on this blog by clicking on the BUY NOW button at the top right side of this blog.

I hope you'll check out the other fun Cricut 3-D projects made by my fellow design team members HERE, and link up your project to play along with the challenge!

FCCB Challenge #155: Yellow and a Triangle

Hello! Rachel back again with another project for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This weeks challenge is #155- Color and Shape, use Yellow and a Triangle. I decided to make a Birthday Hat Gift Box!
I started by cutting the box from the Artiste cartridge found on page 53 at Fit to Page which came out to be 5 3/4".   I also cut the rosette from page 50 at 3/4" and the banner from page 35 at 1 1/4" and coordinates with the matching birthday stamp that is included in the Artiste package which you can purchase right here on this blog!
I'm using my favorite Chantilly papers for this project, I just love these fun colors!
The assembly booklet has instructions on putting the box together on page 28. I decided not to glue the bottom flap closed in order to use it as a little gift box.
I placed double sided tape to the edge and bottom of the box and folded it together.
Then I wrapped my ribbon around the bottom of the box, starting from the middle front edge.
I cut off the ends once it went all around the box and met in the back.
I took the banner shape and stamped Happy Birthday with the coordinating stamp set.  I used Pear Pigment ink to stamp this onto Buttercup cardstock.  Super easy!
It comes out perfect every time since you can see right though the acrylic stamps!
I inked the edge of the banner with Pear dye ink since it dries faster.
Then I attached the banner to the box with 3-D Foam Tape, and assembled the rosette and attached it to the top of the hat.  I added a bow and sprinkled some green sparkles around for fun!
The bottom still opens, so it can be used for a gift card or some candies or small gift.
I hope you'll play along with our challenge this week!  Make sure to take a look at all the other fun projects submitted by the design team members HERE for some inspiration.
