Hello! I was honored this month to be asked to be a guest designer at the Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog. The challenge is called Moving On, and must contain an interactive element or something that moves. I decided to make this fun little beanie hat gift card holder that I saw here.
This is what it looks like when it's closed:
And here it is when it's open!
Of course, I made it a little differently by using my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridge. Here are the cuts I used.
Adhere the Frosted half circle to one half of the cardstock circle. Fold up the flower to make the pom pom on top. Layer the strips onto the scalloped piece.
Glue the other half of the cardstock circle onto the back of the scalloped piece towards the bottom.
Slide the layered half circle in between the two pieces.
Hold onto the edge and punch a hole and add an eyelet.
Here is how the back looks.
And here is how the front looks. You can slide a gift card right in there!
I added the pom pom piece in between the layered patterned paper and cardstock piece, then added the embellishments, and stamped it for the final touches.
Why don't you try this challenge for yourself? Have fun and make sure to link it up at the Heart 2 Heart blog HERE!
