Artiste Owl Gift Bag

Believe it or not, Halloween will be here before we know it, and ever since we made that cute owl on the What a Hoot layout, I've been wanting to make this cute little owl bag!  Owls are really on trend right now, and our new Moonlight paper pack even has a super cute owl designed paper.  I decided to use this purple design from that pack since it reminded me of feathers.

Here you can see the assembly booklet which shows you how to put together all the adorable gift bags that are on the Artiste cartridge.  Below that is page 77 of the handbook which is a Halloween themed key.  The bag and eyes are on the bottom right.

I cut out both the bag and the eyes at 4 1/2", and I added a 1 1/2" white circle behind each eye, and a 3/4" black circle for the pupil.  The tag is cut at 2" in Black cardstock, and BOO! is cut at 1" in Goldrush cardstock.

I added some sparkle around the edge of the tag with our CTMH Bronze Glitz glitter gel.  This stuff is awesome and comes in 7 different colors.  I love it!

The bag actually has a slit cut into the front for the point to slide into and close it.  Since I wanted the point to act as the owl beak, I used our brand new mini Velcro Dots to close the top of the bag.  These velcro dots are fantastic!  Put the two little dots together, peel off one side and stick it to the point of the bag, then peel off the other side and close the top to stick the other half onto the bag for perfect placement.

I also stapled a little piece of our new Black Tulle onto the inside of the back of the bag.

Here is a side view:

I think this would be great for giving away some halloween candies, cookies, or even a gift card!  It measures 4 1/2"x 3 1/2" x 1 3/4" when done.  I hope you enjoy my project, and please leave a comment.
