**UPDATE** Winners announced HERE! Congrats Heidi and Jan!
Now on to my turkey....
This fun little project is inspired by Tim Holtz. You can get his turkey template here, and I decided to make mine with the Cricut Artiste rosettes and burlap ribbon! First, using the turkey template, I cut out a piece of thin cardboard and used my tombow adhesive to glue the burlap ribbon to it and cut it out with the awesome CTMH scissors. I covered both sides of the cardboard this way.
Next, I inked my burlap turkey with the fantastic new CTMH pigment inks!
I cut out my rosettes from page 50 of the handbook. I used the Clementine papers, and cut out the Accent 4 rosette at 2", the Card rosette (base) at 2", and the 3D Object rosette (shift) at 1 1/2". Don't forget to cut 2 of each of these to make a complete rosette!
I used the CTMH 1 1/4" circle punch for the rosette middle, and inked them with Cashmere, Sorbet, and Saddle exclusive inks.
I made the base for the turkey out of a scallop circle from Dimensional Elements Mixed Shapes and covered it with a piece cut to fit at 2" from Page 41 from Art Philosophy, Circle 3.
You could easily add a name banner and use these for your Thanksgiving place settings! Please leave me a comment to let me know if you are going to make some turkeys, too :)
I'm linking this post to the Canvas, Cork, & Burlap Challenge in the Moxie Fab World! You have until midnight EDT on Monday, November 19 to link up your own project. I hope I've inspired you!
Happy Crafting!
