Frankie Candy Jar - Trio Complete!

Hope you're having a great weekend!  Today is the final Candy Jar in the trio...here's Frankie!!

This time I tied some sweet leaf ribbon around the vase, and added an EEK! accent from Moonlight Complements. I added liquid glass on all the pieces to make them look like epoxy, I love that effect! I wrapped a piece of Slate cardstock layered with Sweet Leaf cardstock around the vase.

The accent piece was cut from Cricut Artiste at 4".  This can be found on the "W" key on page 42, Accent 4 is the function key.

Spider Web Candy Jar

Hi there! I'm back with the second in the trio of Halloween Candy Jars.  This one also starts with a vase filled with Halloween candy, and I wrapped some Black Tulle around the neck.  I then wrapped some Black Cardstock, layered with Moonlight paper around the middle of the vase.

I cut the spiderweb shape from page 76 of the handbook at 3 3/4", and layered it under the Halloween House dimensional piece from Moonlight Complements which I covered in Liquid Glass.

I also added a little bat from Moonlight Complements to the knot of the Black Tulle.  I also added some liquid glass to this one to make it pop a bit more.  I hope you enjoy my fun little project!

Moonlight Home Decor

Pumpkins Candy Jar

Hello! Rachel here with a fun and easy idea for a Halloween candy jar. I started with a glass vase that I found for $1 and filled it with some of my favorite Halloween treats: Hershey's Kisses and Brach's Candy Corn!  Then I wrapped some of our awesome new Burlap Ribbon around the neck of the vase, and attached two small decorative pieces from the Moonlight Complements Dimensional Elements which I first covered in Liquid Glass. I love how the Liquid glass makes it look like epoxy!

Then I cut this Cricut Artiste Accent 3 fun shape from page 64 of the handbook, the "V" key.  I cut it out at 2 3/4"  from Kraft cardstock and inked the edge with Goldrush ink. I stamped a flourish shape from Love Life in the background, then attached the pumpkins and fence shapes from Moonlight Complements with 3-D foam tape. I added some Sparkles around the edge for a final touch. Gotta love the bling! 

I wrapped a piece of Kraft cardstock around the vase, and layered it with some Flirty paper and border strip. Then I attached the accent piece to the front of the vase.  I actually made a trio of these vases, and I'll show the other two designs in future posts :)

Cupcake Album with Artiste

Check out this super cute cupcake album designed by today's guest designer Eileen. She gave one to all of her friends here at the retreat and we LOVE it!

Halloween Slanted Treat Box

Wow, looks like Mary is having fun at her retreat and sharing lots of cool projects from our guest designers! Today, I have another Halloween treat box to share with you. I hope you like it!

I really liked the shape of this slanted box, so I couldn't wait to try it.  Of course, I love Halloween so that was my theme of choice even though it was kind of meant to be a Valentine's Day type of box.  You can see it here on Page 51 of the assembly booklet, and page 71 of the handbook.

Here is how I changed it up a little bit.  I cut out the box with black textured cardstock, and then cut a 2" window in the box using the Accent 2 Shift on Page 77. I used the Center Point feature on my Expression to cut out the window, and I also used that feature to make the orange window frame. QUICK TIP: You can turn any solid cut into a frame by cutting out the shape and then cutting it out again 1/4" bigger. The Center Point feature will automatically go back to the same starting place for a perfect cut every time!

I cut out the web border design at 1", and this can be found on page 76. The orange circle was punched out at 1 1/4" to perfectly match my Perfect Fit - Halloween stamp set!  I also cut a 1 1/2" black circle to mat this. I cut off the scallop edge of the box, and glued a piece of clear bag over my window.

Then I glued the web border to the top edge of the box where I cut off the scallop.  You'll have to trim the sides to fit. After filling the box with candy, I tied some black tulle through the holes at the top, and tied my little BOO! tag to the tulle with some Autumn Terracotta Baker's Twine. I added some orange Sparkles to my tag and to the Happy Halloween stamped piece. For the finishing touch, I placed an epoxy spider badge button from the Haunted Assortment to the front!

Flirty Monogram Card Set

Happy Monday. Today I have a guest designer, my friend Beth Naumann. We are scrappin together and she gave me this adorable little purse filled with sweet 3x3 cards. Isn't it cute?! Here are the supplies she used...

Then she had a creative project for us where we made this great card. The rosette was made using Artiste (page 50 cut at 1 inch). The banners can be found in different shaped and sizes on both cartridges. Check out the shimmer trim. It comes silver and we colored it with our new alcohol markers. Isn't that the coolest?! We can make it any color we want.

I love these monogram stamps, I think I need to get the whole set!

Avonlea Thank You Card with Rolled Fringe Flower

Hello! Rachel here with a card to share with you from a creative class taught by a fellow CTMH team member and blog follower, Phyllis Houser.

She had us take a 1 inch wide strip of paper about 10 inches long. We folded this in half but didn't crease it, and glued the long edge together.  Then starting from the folded side, cut small slits up toward the glued edge to make the fringe.  Finally, roll up the strip and flare out the fringe to make the flower.  I added a sparkle to the center to finish it off. Cute and easy, thanks, Phyllis!

We originally had a stamped sentiment on the card, but since this is a Cricut blog, I cut out this cute frame at 2" and Thank You at 1 1/2" from the Artiste cartridge, and applied it with pop dots. These cuts can be found on page 65 of the handbook.

Cricut Pumpkin by Adrienne

Happy Saturday, I hope you have time to have some creative fun this weekend. Today I am sharing this FABULOUS pumpkin created by my friend and guest designer Adrienne Peach. Isn't it the cutest thing ever?! She did an amazing job, I just love this!!!

Here is what she used:
Paper cuts 1x12, (2)- 1.25 x 12, (3) - 1.5 x 12.
Score all 6 every quarter inch.
She used hot glue w/ 1.25 circles attached to center of each to hold together. Then hot glued stack together.
Leaves: Artiste pg 78 (shift accent 2) one at 2" and one at 1.75” Cuttlebug with swiss dots
Tag: Art Philosophy pg 60 cut at .75” and tied on with twine.
Chocolate Waxy flax for vines.
Distressed all with Chocolate and Cocoa ink pads.

Artiste Mustache Pops!

Here is a quick and fun little treat idea....mustache pops!

I saw this cute mustache on the same page as the popcorn box that I made the other day, and thought this would be a fun idea with the little dum-dum pops that I just bought for Halloween.  Here it is on page 67 of the handbook.

I cut out several mustaches at 1" using various shades of cardstock: Black, Cocoa, Saddle, Cashmere, Champagne, and Ruby.  I inked the edges with the coordinating ink colors.

Then I punched a 1/8" hole in the middle, and slid the stick through.

Won't your little ones look cute sucking on these?!

Fall Fry Box from Art Philosophy

I am still playing with the September Stamp of the Month-"Fall Favorites", it's so much fun. I love to color and these fall images are great for practicing blending techniques. I cut the fry box with Art Philosophy at 9 inches(page 27) and added a shape from the Artiste cartridge for the pumpkins. (page 36, 1.75") Be sure to get your Fall Favorites stamp set before September is over.

Artiste Halloween Cone

After I made the popcorn box the other day, I still wanted to play with the Magic Potions stamp set so I decided to make this Halloween Cone!

I was inspired by the eyeball candies to use the "Eye of Owl Magic Cream" stamp! I found this cone and the accent piece on page 42 of the handbook, the "W" key.

I cut the cone out at 5" and the Accent 4 piece at 3". The base for the stamp is 1 1/4" as instructed on the package, and then I cut a black piece at 1 1/2" for the layer. The little chipboard owl is from the Moonlight Complements Dimensional Elements.

I also added some Sparkles to the stamped piece, and tied Black Tulle around the cone and secured it with a Glue Dot.  I would suggest using a very strong tape to secure the cone closed!

Scarecrow Layout with September Stamp of the Month

I knew this would be a favorite stamp set the minute I saw it, how could you not love this cute little scarecrow?! The September Stamp of the Month is only available until the end of the month. You can get one for yourself for only $5 with a $50 purchase from our new Autumn/Winter catalog.

I found a great shape on Artiste (page 58) to add my stamped image too and I think it turned out great. My friend Kathy and I designed this layout for an upcoming team swap and for our November scrapbooking classes. It was fun to color with CTMH's new alcohol Markers. They blend wonderfully and match all of our CTMH papers!

Artiste Popcorn Box - Halloween Style!

I'm going to need some fun little treats for my co-workers on Halloween, so I thought this cute little popcorn box from the Artiste cartridge would do the trick!

I cut the box at 4" from black cardstock, then again at 3 1/2" out of the Dotty orange paper.  I cut apart the orange box to make panels on the black box.

I cut the panel for the Magic Potions stamp at 2 1/2" out of Moonlight paper, and then I cut out the layers at 2 3/4" and 3". 

I added some Black Tulle behind the stamped panel, and then popped up the panel with 3-D Foam Tape. This popcorn box can be found on page 67 of the handbook.

Now I just have to try not to eat all the candy before Halloween!  Please leave a comment to let me know if you are making treat boxes for anyone this year.
