Valentine Peppermint Patties

Hello! Rachel here again with some Valentine Peppermint Patties to share with you!

Here is what I used to make them with the Cricut Artiste cartridge. Make sure to cut these out using the Real Dial Size button, or the topper shape and hearts will be too small!

I stamped the embellishments using the adorable stamp set from the Whooo's Your Valentine special kit which is only available for a few more days until Jan. 31. You can get yours today for only $10 with a purchase of $35 HERE. Hurry, there are only 11% left in inventory!

I also added some shine to match the candy wrapper with the NEW silver glitter paper included in the kit (love this glitter paper)! Plus, I added my favorite Bitty Sparkles. Since these are so "blingy", I decided to enter it into the H2H All that Glitters Challenge.

The topper was stapled at the top to close the package, then layered and embellished.

Valentine Layout with For Always Paper

Good Morning! Happy Saturday! Today I am sharing a layout my daughter and I  made for our team swap. We used a NEW paper pack, For Always, that will be available next weekend when the New Close to my Heart Spring catalog becomes available. Be sure to contact me to get your copy asap. I love how bold and pretty this paper is, it's perfect for weddings, anniversaries, Valentine's day and so much more. What do you think you will use it for?
For Always Paper:

The heart was cut with Artiste, page 72 size 4.5 inches. The square and circle shapes are from Art Philosophy and coordinate with a new stamp set, Frame Flair. I love these stamp sets that coordinate with our cricut cuts, it's such a time saver! We finished our layout off with some glitter buttons from the New Black Assortment also found in the spring catalog.

Feel Better Soon Card

Hello! Rachel here again with a quick little get-well card.
The accent piece is cut from the Artiste cartridge on page 46, Accent 4.  I cut it out at 3".
I embellished with some of the Mini-Medley Accents Slate collection, grey wool Baker's Twine, Bling Assortment, and Bitty Sparkles.

I hope this card will cheer up my friend who recently had surgery! Let me know what you are working on lately and if my card inspired you in any way :)

Birthday Card

Good Morning! Today I am sharing the birthday card I made for my grandson's 4th Birthday. The cute bird is from the 3 Birds on Parade Cricut cartridge and I  used one of the great stamp sets included in the Artiste Cricut bundle for the word balloon.  This trendy set has 6 word balloons that are great for cards.  You can find the coordinating cut on page 65 of the Artiste booklet.

And here is the Birthday boy. I love this little face!!

Fabric Flower Love Card

Hello, I hope you are getting crafty and enjoying your 3-day weekend! It's Rachel here again with a sneak peek at an awesome new product from the brand new CTMH Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book!

Is that a FABRIC flower you see? YES! That's right, CTMH will debut an awesome new line of textiles that match two of the brand new paper packs: Chantilly and For Always.

For this project, I used the new For Always paper packet and textiles.

I scraplifted the design of this card from the new How-To book, Make It from Your Heart. (For only $7.95, it is a great value and its full of ideas, patterns and cutting instructions!)
Here are the pieces I used to put the card together using page 68 from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge:

The base card is White Daisy 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". (The Value Pack is a great deal for 50 cards and envies!) The front of the card is layered with a black mat (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"), red mat (4" x 5 1/4"), and white daisy mat (3 3/4" x 5"). The For Always B&T paper (3 1/2" x 2 1/2") is layered over a black mat (3 3/4" x 2 3/4").

The banner is made by cutting the black mat base at 3 3/4", then layer the white mat and red layer which are both cut at 3 1/2".  The stamp is from the upcoming February Stamp of The Month: Home Sweet Home. I stamped "Love" with Ruby Pigment ink, and then heat embossed with Clear powder to give it some shine (hard to see it in this pic, though)!

I'm entering this card into the Color My Heart: Color Dare #26, which is Black and White with a "pop" of one other color. In this case, it's Ruby!

The banner is applied with 3-D Foam Tape for some extra dimension. This tape works great, I love it!

I also added a fun and easy to make no-sew fabric flower. I cut out 4 fabric and black tulle circles at 1 1/2" each. Layer one piece of fabric with one piece of tulle and fold in half then fold in half again to form a triangle shape. Then place two of the triangles together over one half of a 1" circle and staple (I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher).

Repeat with the other two pieces on the second half of the circle.

Add liquid glass to the middle to make sure it stays put, plus it will hold any piece you want to use for the center of the flower. In this case, I used a couple of the new products, a clear acrylic flower and a pink glitter gem (make sure to look for these in the new Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book)! I inked the edges of the fabric flower with some ruby ink using a sponge dauber, then added it to my card with more 3-D Foam tape.

It really is easy to make these....I had to make 13 of them for a team swap!

Please let me know if my project has inspired you in any way, I'd love to hear from you!!

Puzzle Heart Card

Happy Saturday! Today I am sharing a card we made at my Team Meeting on Thursday. I had so much fun with the puzzle heart on Artiste (page 57) that I just had to do another project with it and wanted my Team to be able to play too. We used a new paper pack that will be available on February 1st. It's the Chantilly paper and it is one of my favorites with it's bright and fun colors including Cotton Candy, Buttercup, Twilight and Champagne. I can't wait to make some great Easter projects with this paper! If you want to make this card you'll need to cut 3 hearts from different pattern papers, the size is 4 inches. Then just mix up the pieces and you'll be able to make 3 super cute puzzle hearts for you cards or layouts.

Here are a few more beautiful Chantilly projects from Close To My Heart

I Love you to Pieces-La Belle Vie

Good Morning! Happy Thursday! Today I am sharing a layout I designed for my February classes using our beautiful La Belle Vie Paper pack and both CTMH cartridges. I absolutely LOVE these puzzle pieces on page 57 of the Artiste booklet. I want to try them out on a big 8x10 photo, wouldn't that look cool?! I cut the puzzle heart out at 5 inches, the letters are from Art Philosophy and I welded them using Cricut craft room size 1 inch for "pieces" and "you", the "I" is 2 inches and the banner is on Art Philosophy page 29, size 2". It's finished off with some Pearls and ribbon, so much fun!!
