Snowman Card

Here's a fun little snowman card that is easy to do with the Cricut Artiste cartridge and Close To My Heart stamps! This shape is from page 31, Accent 2, cut in various sizes.  I stamped a snowflake design on them with my favorite Slate ink. The background paper is from Dakota, and the pink strip is from La Belle Vie. The Snowman is from Flakey Friends, and colored with the new CTMH Alcohol Ink Markers! Isn't he cute? I added some Liquid Applique to the snow for a more 3-D effect.

Monster Trio Treat Boxes

Here are all three of my monster boxes together. I hope they inspire you to make some spooky-fun treats.
Have a Happy Halloween!!!

Vampire Treat Box

Here is the last box in my "Monster Trio". I used the box on page 44 again to finish up my treat boxes. This box goes together so easily and is the perfect size for Halloween treats. I used CTMH's 1 1/4 circle punch to make his hair, the eyes are circles from Artiste, page 48 cut at 1' and 3/4'. His fangs are banners from Art Philosophy page 49 cut at 3/4" and his nose is the oval from page 32 cut at 1/2".

Frankie Treat Box

Here is another treat box made from the same box I used in yesterday's post. Frankie was even easier to make than the Lil Mummy. For his hair I used the grass on page 73 on the Artiste cartridge cut at 1 1/4 inches. His bolts are capital "T"s from page 45 and his eyes are just simple circles found on page 48. Isn't he fun?! Come back tomorrow to see the final treat box in my "Monster Trio"

Mummy Treat Box

Halloween is right around the corner so I wanted to share this fun little mummy box, perfect for giving treats to your favorite ghosts and goblins. I used the treat box on page 44 of the Artiste booklet cut at 4 inches as suggested. The assembly instructions are on page 8 of the assembly book and it goes together so easily. I will definitely be finding lots of uses for this great box!

To make my lil mummy I cut a few 3/4 strips of Colonial White cardstock and inked them with one of my new favorite colors of ink-Slate. I wrapped these around my assembled box and added two 1 inch white circles and two 3/4 inch black circles for the eyes. So easy!

Christmas Snowflake

Here is a simple and elegant Christmas Card:

It's so easy when you cut out the shape from page 56, and then stamp on the coordinating stamp set called Pirouette! I used Whisper and Avonlea papers, and some Slate Satin Polka Dot ribbon for the background. I also added some bling, and popped it up with some 3-D Foam.

Tin Gift Card Boxes

Hi there! I have a quick post today to share a really cute idea from my friend and fellow CTMH consultant, Cathy Davis. She brought these fun gift card tins to our retreat last weekend. Aren't they cute? The theme was "Glitz" so she decorated empty Altoid tins with lots of bling!

I love how she used 3-D flowers from Cricut Art Philosophy for the top of the box, and the bling is fabulous!

Here is the box opened up, and you can see that a standard gift card fits perfectly. I hope you'll try this fun project, too!

Snowflake Ornaments with Gift Box

Today is a perfect time to share this wonderful gift I received from my friend Kelly Hammonds at our Big Bear retreat. Kelly used the same box on page 47 of Artiste that Rachel used in her adorable Fall Kleenex box she posted yesterday. I love to show how versatile these cuts can be! Kelly's box is cut with the "Fit to Page" option and holds 8 ornaments. She added a rosette from page 50 cut at 1.25 inches. Don't you love all of the glitz and bling on the snowflake ornaments? She used Close To My Heart's Glitz Glitter Gel in Almond, Green, Red, Silver, and Stardust on the Dimensional Elements Snowflakes to make them SHINE! I can't wait to hang them on my Christmas tree. They would look great in a window, on a gift bag or box, or added to a scrapbook page or card. So pretty!!!

Fabulous Fall Kleenex Box

I'm back from a fantastic weekend retreat with Mary and some very talented and creative ladies! I had a fantastic time with them all, and today's project was inspired by fellow team member and CTMH consultant, Lori Loree. She had the brilliant idea of turning the little box found on page 47 into a mini kleenex box!

I loved that idea so much that I had to try it. Since I happened to have a little package of kleenex with a Fall Leaves print, I decided to go with that theme! Here is what I came up with by using the Fall Harvest stamp set, and Flirty paper.

I started by cutting the box out at 4". This can be found on page 47, and the assembly instructions are on page 19 of the booklet. I also cut out the frame from the shape found on page 33. I did this by using the center point feature on my Cricut, and cut the shape out at 3" and then again at 2" to make the frame.

Since the box is a little too wide for the mini kleenex, you'll need to create a bumper for the inside of the box.
Start with a sheet of cardstock cut at 7 1/4" x 4 1/8". Then score each end at 1", 1 1/2", and 2 1/2".
At the top, I stamped and cut out the banner and added some hemp and a sparkle. At the bottom, I stamped and cut out the leaves, and added an adorable wooden acorn shape with more hemp and a sparkle. I love how we can stamp and color these wooden shapes!

Rachel and I will be sharing many of them here on our blog so be sure to watch for them. We would love to hear what you think so please leave us a comment. For my retreat layout I used both the Art Philosophy and the Artiste cartridge, Avonlea paper, Slate satin Ribbon, Bling Gems(Boutique Assortment) and lots of Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel.

Artiste cuts:
Crown-page 74, 2 1/4 inches
Teal Tag-page 64, 3 inches

Art Philosophy cuts:
Title-2 1/2 inches (I used the Cricut Craft room to weld the letters together)
White Tag- page 70, 1 3/4 inches

Halloween Spider Bags

Hello! I'm still in Lake Tahoe at my consultant retreat, but I wanted to share the gift bags that I made. I needed to bring 3 gifts with me and since it's so close to Halloween, I made these spider bags!

I cut the web out at 5", BOO! is cut at 1 3/4", and the spider is cut at 1 1/4".  I added a Black Sparkle Flourish for the spider to climb! I topped off the bag with some Black Tulle tied around the handle.

Here is a close-up of the spider. I added black Sparkle Fluff to make her fuzzy, and two Red Sparkles for the eyes!

Treat Bags with Artiste

Good morning friends! Today I am sharing some treat bags I made for my retreat buddies. Aren't they fun? I used the gift card cut on page 57 of Artiste but I cut it 4 3/4 and scored the bottom so it would stand up. I also removed the small tabs that hold the gift card using Cricut craft room.

Here are the goodies inside: Glitz Glitter, Sparkle Brads and Bling (=

Christmas Ornament

I'm in beautiful Lake Tahoe at a CTMH Consultant Retreat with my awesome upline and partner on this blog, Mary Thompson! So today I have a quick post to share with you from my friend and fellow CTMH consultant, Elvia Murray. She was inspired by THIS post about the ornament that I made, and she's been on a roll making them herself!

She used some retired CTMH paper called Winter Fest, and cut the circles at 1 1/2" each. Isn't it pretty?! I love how she used the Bitty Sparkles on the edge, they look so nice with the blue and white paper.  Thanks so much for sharing, Elvia!

In order to make assembly easier, only glue two pods of 5 circles together as shown in the assembly book. These will be the top and the bottom pieces. Then glue the other 10 circles together in a line by alternating the triangles. This with be glued in between the top and bottom pieces to go around the middle!

Christmas Tags

Rachel here again with some Christmas tags this time! I was thinking about the little treat box that I made HERE, and I thought some tags would be something cute to put in it, too.

These tags are pretty easy to make with the Cricut Artiste Cartridge and this Month's Stamp of the Month! Isn't this such a fun and useful stamp set?!

I cut this first tag out of Kraft paper at 3" using the shape on pg. 35 of the handbook. I stamped the image with New England Ivy and Cranberry, and added a piece of Pear & Partridge paper. I wrapped some Baker's Twine around the middle, and tied on a cute little silver bell.  As a final touch, I added some Red Sparkles and then some Hemp and more Baker's Twine through the hole to tie on to a package.

This next tag was cut out of Kraft paper at 2 3/4" using the shape from page 33 of the handbook. I used the same color of inks and added a couple of pieces of a border strip from the Pear & Partridge paper. I wrapped Baker's Twine around the bottom and tied on a red bell. I added a Red Sparkle to each of the scallops across the bottom. I cut out the tree after stamping it on a separate piece of Kraft paper, and used 3-D Foam Tape to make it pop! I colored a Sparkle with the Honey Alcohol Marker to add to the top of the tree, and threaded some Hemp and Baker's Twine through the hole in the tag.

I hope you're inspired by my project to make some gift tags for yourself, too!

Halloween Gift Card

I've shared this gift card from page 55 of Artiste before (here), what do you think of my Halloween version? I used one of my favorite cuts on the Artiste cartridge the adorable little bow on page 55 to dress up my card. The Moonlight papers look great with the fun Haunted assortment brads and badges.

The card is 5 1/4 inches,the Bow is 1 1/2 inches, the Web is 1 1/2 inches

Christmas Treat Box

Since I've been making so many Halloween projects, I thought it was time for me to do another Christmas project! This little box is so cute and versatile, so I had to try it out. I put some Christmas mints in my box, but I thought this could also be used to put some cards or gift tags in and give as a gift!

This box is found on page 66 of the handbook, and page 45 of the assembly booklet.

I cut the box and corner hinges out at 4", which gives you a 4x4 little box. I used the beautiful Pear & Partridge papers. After attaching the corner hinges to the box, I didn't think that the green paper popped as much as I wanted it to. I decided to cut them out again in the cranberry pattern which I added. I folded the box and inked all the edges in Smoothie ink.

I tied the top flaps together with Cranberry Grosgrain ribbon (retired), and added a cute little tag from the October Stamp of the Month set, called Very Merry Christmas. I cut the base of the tag from Cranberry cardstock at 2 1/4", then layered it with some Pear & Partridge patterned paper at 2".  Finally, I stamped the cute image onto Cashmere cardstock cut at 1 3/4" and popped it up with 3-D foam tape, and added Bitty Pearls around the edge.  This tag shape can be found on page 79, Accent 4, of the handbook.

The October Stamp of the Month set is so cute and a you'll get a lot of use out of it for your hand made cards and tags this Christmas! Plus, you can get it for as little as $5 with a qualifying order!

I hope you enjoy this project, and if you decide to make one, please leave a comment and tell me what you'll put in it! :)
