Santa Note Pad

This is a cute idea for a quick gift! Last Christmas, Mary showed me how to make these, so I thought I would make this tutorial to share today.
Here is what you'll need:
Steno Book - 6"x9" with coils on top
Cardstock: White Daisy, Cranberry, Black, Sky, Pink, Colonial White
Cartridges: Artiste and Art Philosophy
Embellishments: Red Sparkles, ribbon, chalk marker, 3-D foam tape, embossing folder, Cranberry marker, Black pen
Adhesive: liquid glue, tape runner

Use your paper trimmer to cut the following:
White Daisy - 3 1/2"x 6" for beard, and 5/8"x 12" strip for pinwheel
Colonial White - 3 1/4"x 6" for face
Cranberry - 6"x 6" square, cut diagonally for hat, and 2"x 6" piece for hat brim

Then using your Cricut and the CTMH exclusive cartridges, Art Philosophy and Artiste, cut the following:

Either Art Philosophy pg 21 or Artiste pg 48, cut circles - White Daisy: 1 3/4" mustache, 1 1/4" eyebrows, 1" (3) eyes and pinwheel base, Cranberry: 3/4" mouth, Black: 1/2" (2) pupils, Sky: 3/4" (2) eyes, Pink: 1" nose.

From Art Philosophy page 65, font feature/shift, cut a 1" scallop from White Daisy.

From Artiste page 79, accent 1/shift, cut a 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" snowflake from Cranberry, and the base/shift image "HoHoHo" at 2 1/2".

You will cut the 1 3/4" circle in half for the mustache, and trim the 1 1/4" circle into eyebrow shapes and emboss these as well as the beard piece to add texture.

Then score the pinwheel strip at every 1/4" and fan fold, then glue pinwheel shape onto circle base with liquid glue.

Adhere the beard to the bottom of the note pad, then the face above that. Next, cut off some of the scallop border edge and attach to the bottom of the hat trim piece on the right side. Adhere this to the note pad above the face piece with the scallop overlapping a little.

Glue the eyeball pieces together and use the chalk marker to embellish the pupil. Arrange the face pieces on the colonial white and attach. Use 3-D foam tape under the nose and mustache.

Adhere the diagonal hat piece to overlap a little bit. Adhere the pinwheel to the bottom of the hat. Adhere the snowflakes and HoHoHo on top of the hat and embellish with Red Sparkles. I used a Cranberry Marker and Black pen to outline and detail these pieces. For the final touch, tie cranberry and white ribbons to the top left coils.
 Happy Crafting!
