Turtle Birthday

Today I'm taking a little break from holiday projects and cards. Since I have a co-worker's birthday coming up, I needed to make a card. I finally got a chance to put together one of the class cards that we got at the CTMH convention in Dallas last summer! Isn't it cute?

The clouds and the balloon are cut from the Cricut Artiste cartridge, and can be found on page 70 of the handbook. They really add a lot to this simple card!

I also like the added touches of the Baker's Twine for the balloon string, and the Shimmer Trim added as a ruffle along the bottom of the pink accent piece. This is made by using 10 inches of the shimmer trim and since it is self adhesive, it's easy to fold it back and forth to make the ruffle. The cute turtle is from the Pun Fun stamp set and the little hat is stamped on patterned paper and cut out.

Happy Crafting!
